WFMW: Having an Effective Quiet Time
For today's Works For Me Wednesday, I bring you "The Effective Quiet Time"!
Want to read a book, but can't concentrate over all of the noise? Want to have an effective time in The Word, but can't because you have little monkeys crawling all over you asking for everything under the sun?
I bring you an easy, two-step solution, dear Internet friends!
Duct Tape and Rope!
Just tie the little heathens up and slap some duct tape on their whiny little mouths! They're quiet enough for you to have your time in peace, and they're still within sight so you know they're safe and not getting into mischief.
Hey! It Works For Me!

You are funny. I'm glad to have a mom in my life that can admit these thoughts and demonstrate them in a picture. I can just hear the boys telling their teacher about their Summer. "So Jacob, what did you do this Summer?" And Jacob's response would be quite comical because he's like his mom. "Well, my mom had health problems this Summer. I don't know what it was. I think maybe she lost her mind because my little brother and me got tied up with rope a lot and the worst part was the duct tape she placed over our mouths! I'm just glad to be back in school!"
Hopefully no one will call CPS. :) I am still laughing!!!!
Oh. My. WORD. That is hysterical! How did you keep the cheese-eating grin off of your face?
Oh, Amanda, you SLAY me! That is totally what Jacob would say.
I love it!
I am writing down duct tape and rope to my list of items needed.
Shelley if I run into you in Wal Mart, I am sure it will be on the duct tape aisle.
Too funny!
Pretty funny--and c'mon, every one of your moms out there...admit it! You've thought about this, haven't you? Haven't you???????
Oh my goodness - that's too funny!!! Yet so practical!
ok that is TOOOO funny.
That is hilarious!! Is it legal? I mean, I won't tell, but just checking!! :D
Come now ladies, you know we've all thought about it...
Very funny
I love your sense of humor! Very funny!
WHAT A FUNNY PICTURE! I have to admit I have thought about taping my boys' mouths shut. :) Quiet time is a must for my sanity!
Oh, you are too much!! How do you get off so easily? When mine were that age, I also had to utilize the closet. hah! Good one!
Funny? No.
HYSTERICAL! I loved that! Thanks for the laugh.
Minnie, I have to say that I love you again! This is so funny. I keep telling everyone about this. You need to write a book, seriously. Or you need to be a stand up christian comedian. SERIOUS!
Again, I love you. I love your spirit and I am so glad to call you friend.
Too funny! I love that picture.
OH MY GOSH! How much did you have to pay them to get them to pose for that? That is so funny. Think that would work with my teenage daughter? God bless you, Ken
FAB U LOUS POST! I bet the kids thought you were kidding! ;) That is a priceless picture!
Hee Hee! Great idea! I have tied my kids together before to get them to clean their room. (With a ribbon around their wrists) Cuts down on the bickering. They didn't like it one bit.
THIS WAS TOO FUNNY!!!! My favorite part of the picture is how serene your face looks! Just hilarious!
Minnie, how funny. I needed a good laugh and you are still--regardless of what else is going on--good for it. Thanks.
what a RIOT! (and ps - i love those Target jammies!) ;)
What a hoot! And what good sports they were, lol!
Hahahahahahaha. Hilarious!
best. picture. EVER!
Now that is an idea worth pursuing... You are hilarious!
As my dad used to say, ok still does, "There isn't anything that can't be fixed with a little duct tape."
And you, just sitting there enjoying your drink...I LIVE for moments such as these! LMBO!!!
great idea! how long did it take those boys to escape?
Funny funny and my favorit part - IS THAT A BIBLE IN YOUR HANDS! Funny funny! :-D
HA! Great idea!
I must say the kids are grown but my hubby gets a quick hand over his mouth constantly..i may have to buy some tape.
I am SO showing my girls this picture. That way they believe that some parents do it. (Better than a threat of sending them to their room!)
Thanks for the laugh!
Oh. my. gosh. I NEEDED that laugh tonight! Thank you!
